OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
FOR THE ANIMALS
Placing the moral highlight on farmed animals!
We’ve conducted extensive research on the egg-laying and broiler industry in Portugal and produced several benchmarking reports.
We’ve engaged in corporate campaigning against the EU retailer LIDL, to persuade them to adopt the ECC, and we have achieved media visibility.
Our initial investigations have led to a media piece that came out on RTP (public TV channel) during prime time (with an estimated reach of about 700.000 viewers), exposing some of the cruel and inadequate practises within the broiler and hen industry.
We’ve engaged with other retailers to pressure them to adopt ECC (European Chicken Commitment.)
We have launched a national-wide campaign to raise awareness to farmed animals, during election time, using educational flyers and outdoors.

FRENTE ANIMAL?
The Frente Animal exists to raise awareness of the lives of animals living in the shadows of our food system, in order to involve political decision-makers in improving their protection and moral status.
It’s time to bring the interests of these animals to the fore!
